With its compact dimensions of 181 cm in length, 45 cm in width and 101 cm in height, the Eight Style is one of the space-saving rowing machines in its class despite its large screen. The seat height of 30 cm allows for comfortable entry. After training, the rowing machine can be easily folded up and stored to save space, ideal for living rooms, bedrooms or home gyms.
With a volume of around 62 dB, the AUGLETICS Eight Style is particularly quiet and significantly quieter than wind-braked and also water-braked rowing machines. This makes it ideal for training in the home without disturbing family or neighbors, even in the evening or early in the morning.
Compared to many other magnetic rowing machines, the AUGLETICS Eight Style still feels very natural in the pull, almost like being on the water. This is made possible by a patent-pending technology in which the resistance is controlled in milliseconds during each rowing stroke. The resistance automatically adjusts to the respective phase of the stroke, from the catch to the finish. You hardly notice any of this consciously, the result is a smooth, harmonious rowing feeling that is much closer to real rowing than with classic magnetic rowing machines.
With over 30 pre-programmed training programs, the AUGLETICS Eight Style offers a wide range of workouts for different training goals. In addition, you can create your own workouts and flexibly adapt your training to your personal goals, ideal for beginners as well as experienced athletes.
A special feature of the Eight Style is the integrated Virtual Coach. With it, you can learn the rowing technique from scratch and improve it step by step. Using sensor-based technology, the coach analyzes every single rowing stroke in real time and gives you direct feedback. It makes the five most common rowing mistakes visible and shows you specifically how you can improve your movement. This way you train cleanly from the start and avoid incorrect movement patterns before they creep in. This makes the Virtual Coach ideal for beginners who have never sat on a rowing machine, as well as for anyone who wants to specifically optimize their technique. After each unit, you will also receive a clear overall evaluation of your training, while the coach continuously accompanies you during rowing and adapts the training to your performance level.
Furthermore, the device has a heart rate-controlled training function. In combination with a heart rate monitor, such as the separately available AUGLETICS Heart Rate Monitor, you can set a target heart rate. The resistance is automatically adjusted as soon as you leave this target range. This ensures that you always train in the ideal heart rate range, whether for endurance training for general fitness, a more intensive interval training or a fat-burning training with lower intensity.
The weekly changing AUGLETICS City Maps provide additional variety. These are virtual routes from the satellite view where you can see other athletes in real time who are also training on an AUGLETICS rowing machine. This creates a joint rowing experience that provides additional motivation and gives you the feeling of really moving forward. Alternatively, the external service Kinomap can be used, which offers a perspective directly from the rowing boat. The integrated 15.6 inch HD touch screen also provides access to Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime as well as, via the integrated browser, to the media libraries of public broadcasters and other video content. The sound of the played content can be output either via the integrated speakers or via connected Bluetooth headphones, so you can enjoy videos and series undisturbed.
Apart from possible external services such as Kinomap or streaming providers, the AUGLETICS Eight Style requires no subscriptions at all. All training functions and content (including Virtual Coach) are permanently available to you, without monthly payments or hidden costs.
The AUGLETICS Eight Style gives you the freedom to train the way that suits you. You can use the device completely offline and concentrate fully on your rowing. All basic training functions are available to you even without the internet.
However, we recommend that you connect to the internet to take full advantage of the experience. This includes the weekly changing City Maps as well as free user profiles, of which you can create any number. This makes it easy to manage multiple people or different training levels and you can easily switch between the individual profiles at any time. External offers such as Netflix, Amazon Prime or Kinomap also require an internet connection.
You can also connect your profile to Strava via the web app and merge your rowing sessions with other sporting activities. Regular software updates from AUGLETICS continuously expand the functionality and are conveniently installed on the device via WLAN.
Compared to the AUGLETICS Eight Sport, the Eight Style offers an even more comprehensive training experience. It has the larger 15.6-inch touch screen, which offers a particularly good overview and presents content such as workouts, virtual routes and entertainment even better. In addition, the integrated Virtual Coach is included in the Eight Style, which uses sensor-based technology to analyze your rowing technique and give you direct feedback so that you can learn or improve your rowing technique.
The Eight Style also sets special accents in terms of design. The rowing machine is standardly available in an elegant oak wood design, which is considered a true design classic and has been awarded a Red Dot Design Award. Alternatively, the Eight Style is also available in a black version made of powder-coated aluminum for those who prefer a sportier, more minimalist look. The AUGLETICS Eight Style is aimed at users who, in addition to high-quality training, place particular emphasis on design, technology feedback and a harmonious appearance in the living room.
The full-body workout on the rowing machine involves over 85% of your muscles. The AUGLETICS features integrated training programs, depending on your goals and the duration of the workout. Typically, 20 minutes three times a week is sufficient to achieve your fitness goals.
